Frozen Heart Figure Skating Clinic

February 17 from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm

Frozen Hearts is a February clinic that blends strong skill development with creative expression. Skaters will focus on sharpening edges, strengthening jumps, and refining spins through structured on-ice instruction and targeted off-ice training. Alongside technical work, skaters will explore an artistry component that encourages musicality, movement quality, and emotional expression, helping them connect their skills with performance. This clinic emphasizes confidence, precision, and passion, giving skaters the tools to skate with both strength and heart in a fun, supportive environment. This camp is designed for skaters at the Youth or Teen ice skating 4 level and higher. Skaters will be placed in groups by skill levels.

Cool Summer Ice Skating Camp

Cool down this summer at Wheaton Ice Arena! This full-day camp is for all, from absolute beginners to up-and-coming ice skating stars. Campers will skate twice every day in the morning and afternoon including a 30 minute ice skating lesson taught by a professional instructor and ice time during the public session to practice the skills learned. Lesson groups will be divided based on age and skating ability and skaters will be evaluated at the end of the week to determine their current skating level. We’ll also do lots of fun indoor and outdoor off-ice activities, including stretching and fun fitness activities! Please bring comfortable athletic shoes, a non-perishable lunch (no nut products please), snack and water bottle each day. Rental skates will be provided, if needed. Camp runs from 9 am to 5 pm daily and is for campers ages 6-12 years old.

Figure Skating Camps

Our figure skating camps are designed for skaters ready to take their skills to the next level. Spend a week learning new skills with your friends including freestyle, theater on ice, synchronized skating, moves and artistry, and a variety camp. Please bring sneakers for off-ice workouts, snack, and a water bottle. Camps run from 8:30 am- 12:30 pm and are for skaters ages 6-14. Afternoon care is available until 5 pm.

Prerequisite: Youth 4.
Take your skating to the next level with this exciting figure skating camp! Skaters will explore a variety of skating disciplines, including freestyle jumps and spins, introductory ice dance, moves in the field, and creative choreography. Each day offers a fun mix of on-ice training and off-ice conditioning to build strength, flexibility, and artistry. It’s the perfect chance to discover new styles of skating and develop your skills in a supportive, energetic environment.
Please bring sneakers for off-ice sessions, a snack, and a water bottle.

Prerequisite: Youth 6.
This camp is designed for figure skaters ready to elevate their skills and performance. On the ice, skaters will focus on advanced skating techniques, jumps, spins, choreography, and program development. Off the ice, they’ll enhance flexibility, conditioning, and strength through fun and focused training sessions. The week will conclude with a short exhibition where skaters can showcase their new skills and creativity. Please bring sneakers for off-ice workouts, a snack, and a water bottle.

Prerequisite: Free Skate 5 level and higher; skater should be comfortable with single jumps, sit spin, camel spin, and back spin.

This camp is focused on refining jump and spin technique to boost the skater’s Grade of Execution (GOE). On ice sessions will include spin development for combination and flying spins, jump development for jump combinations, axels, and double jumps, step and choreography sequences, and skating skills sessions. Off ice training will be focused on flexibility, ankle strength, core strength, and jump technique.

This creative and high-energy camp invites skaters to bring stories to life on the ice through movement, expression, and performance. Skaters will explore musical interpretation, character development, and choreography while learning how to connect emotion with artistry. Throughout the week, they’ll rehearse for a special end-of-week performance to showcase their theatrical skating skills.
Please bring sneakers for off-ice workouts, a snack, and a water bottle.

Prerequisite: Youth 2 through Free Skate 1 levels.
This fun and well-rounded camp introduces aspiring figure skaters to the exciting world of figure skating. Skaters will develop their skills through a mix of on-ice training in basic jumps, spins, and skating techniques, as well as off-ice exercises designed to build strength, balance, and creativity. Each day will include time for choreography and exploring different styles of skating, giving participants a chance to discover what inspires them most on the ice.

Prerequisite: Youth 4.
Is your skater ready to take the next step and experience what it’s like to compete? This week-long camp gives skaters the chance to train like competitors while developing the skills needed for success in figure skating competitions. On the ice, campers will refine their skating skills, jumps, spins, and moves in the field while learning choreography and program creation. Off the ice, they’ll build strength, flexibility, and confidence through targeted conditioning and performance training.
Throughout the week, skaters will work on music interpretation and presentation, preparing a short program to showcase at Friday’s mock competition. It’s a fun, focused, and inspiring way to learn the art of competitive skating in a supportive environment.

Hockey Camps

Our hockey camps are designed for players ready to take their skills to the next level. Spend a week learning new skills with your friends! Full hockey gear is required for camp including a mouth guard. Rental skates are available for use during camp. Please bring athletic shoes for off-ice workouts, snacks, and a water bottle. Camps run from 8:30 am- 12:30 pm and are for skaters ages 6-14. Afternoon care is available until 5 pm.

Prerequisite: Passed Hockey 2 or equivalent. If your child loves hockey, why not treat them to a week long hockey camp? This camp will focus on improving individual player skills and teaching game concepts. Skaters will have stations on skating, stick handling, shooting, passing as well as games to improve team play and strategy. Each camper will be assigned to groups according to skill level. Full hockey gear is required for camp including a mouth and neck guard. Rental skates are available for use during camp. Please bring athletic shoes for off-ice workouts, snacks, and a water bottle.
