Tips for your first class
Wear one pair of thin socks.
Helmets and gloves are highly recommended. Helmets are required for all Preschool classes, Youth Ice Skating 1, Tweens and Teens Ice Skating 1, and Adult Ice Skating 1 classes. Bike helmets are fine. Helmets are recommended for all other levels.
Arrive at the rink 15 minutes early for your lesson, and early for subsequent classes so you have plenty of time to get skates and gear on before class starts.
Ask for skates that are size smaller than your shoe size.
For an immediate answer to a basic group skating class question, please call the rink at 301-905-3000 to speak to someone at the front desk. You may also email the Skating Director.
