Spring Break Advanced Freestyle Camp

March 30 through April 4, 9:00 am-1:00 pm

Prerequisite: Passed Free Skate 6 & working on an axel jump. The Advanced Free Skate Camp is designed for athletes who are currently competing and testing through the U.S. Figure Skating pipeline. Spend the week learning drills that will improve your jump entrances and exits. Learn the bullet points for improving your GOE (grade of execution) on jumps and breakdown of points for combinations and sequences. Spins technique will be focused on daily and will include, strengthening and understanding spin features, levels, and improving GOE (grade of execution). Edgework, exercises and advanced transitions will also be focused on daily. Off Ice classes will include a variety of topics. Some examples include, improving balance and coordination for jump landing and spin positions. Understanding and maximizing program components, managing the “inner athlete,” and maintaining a healthy balance between schoolwork, skating, and life outside the ice rink. Groups will be divided by current competitive (or testing) level both on and off the ice.

Summer Fun Ice Skating Camp

Beat the heat this summer at the ice rink! This full-day camp includes a morning 30-minute group ice skating lesson and afternoon open skating time for practice. Lesson groups are organized by age and skating ability and no previous skating experience is necessary. We’ll spend the rest of the day doing fun indoor and outdoor activities including crafts, board games, and fitness activities both indoors and outdoors. Rental skates are included in the camp fee for skaters who need them. Please bring comfortable athletic shoes, a non-perishable lunch (no nut products please), a reusable water bottle, and snacks to last for a full day of camp. Camp runs from 9 am to 5 pm daily and is for ages 6-12.

Hockey Camps

Prerequisite: Passed Hockey 2 or equivalent. If your child loves hockey, why not treat them to a week long hockey camp? This camp will focus on improving individual player skills and teaching game concepts. Skaters will have stations on skating, stick handling, shooting, passing as well as games to improve team play and strategy. Groups will be assigned according to skill level. Full hockey gear is required for camp including a mouth and neck guard. Rental skates are available for use during camp. Please bring athletic shoes for off-ice workouts, snacks, and a water bottle. Camp runs from 9 am- 1pm and is for children ages 6-12. Afternoon care is available until 5pm.

Figure Skating Camps

Our figure skating camps are designed for skaters ready to take their skills to the next level. Spend a week learning new skills with your friends including freestyle, theater on ice, synchronized skating, moves and artistry, and a variety camp. Please bring sneakers for off-ice workouts, snack, and a water bottle. Camps run from 8:30 am-12:30 pm and aftercare is available until 5pm. Camps are for skaters ages 6-14.

Prerequisite: Passed Youth Ice Skating 6 and not higher than the USFS Intermediate moves in the field test. Here’s an opportunity for skaters to learn the fundamentals of a fast-growing, fun team sport! Figure skaters will learn the five basic elements of synchronized skating: circles, blocks, lines, wheels and intersections while skating connected. All skaters are invited to perform in a mini-exhibition the last day of camp. Please bring sneakers for off-ice workouts, snack, and a water bottle.

Prerequisite: Passed Youth Ice Skating 5. Ready to take your glide to the next level? This week-long camp is perfect for skaters looking to refine their current skills and explore new techniques in jumps, spins, and overall skating performance.
On-ice sessions will focus on advancing foundational elements, while off-ice workouts will build strength and flexibility—giving skaters tools they can use both during and beyond camp.
At the end of the week, skaters will perform a group number for friends and family, showcasing everything they’ve learned. Please bring sneakers for off-ice workouts, snack, and a water bottle.

Minimum Prerequisite: Skaters must be landing an axel jump or higher.

Help your skater reach their peak performance in this week-long camp designed for advanced athletes. Through focused, high-intensity training, skaters will refine their jump technique—emphasizing take-offs, air position, and landings—to boost their Grade of Execution (GOE).
On-ice sessions will include:

Targeted drills to improve jump mechanics
Advanced spin technique development for solo, combination, and flying spins
Strategies to achieve higher levels and features under the IJS system

Off-ice training will complement on-ice work by:

Analyzing air position errors
Providing exercises skaters can continue independently
Enhancing core strength and rotational control

Daily roundtable discussions will dive into:

The IJS judging system
Maximizing GOE across jumps, spins, and step sequences
Elevating performance components such as skating skills, transitions, and interpretation

Learn from elite coaches with experience at the Sectional, National, and International levels. This is a unique opportunity for dedicated skaters to sharpen their competitive edge in a supportive, high-performance environment.

Step into the spotlight! This exciting camp invites skaters to explore the expressive side of figure skating through drama, dance, and contemporary movement. Led by our National Level Theater on Ice coaches, participants will learn how to convey emotion and artistry on the ice while preparing for a unique performance opportunity.

Theater on Ice is one of the fastest-growing competitive disciplines within U.S. Figure Skating—come discover why! Whether your skater is curious about performance or passionate about storytelling, this camp offers a fun and inspiring way to grow both technically and artistically.
Throughout the week, skaters will work on music interpretation, choreography, and rehearse for the Friday performance. Please bring sneakers for off-ice workouts, snack, and a water bottle.
