Garden Railway Exhibit
All Aboard! In partnership with the Washington Virginia Maryland Garden Railway Society, the Garden Railway Exhibit will return to Brookside Gardens’ South Conservatory this winter with model trains traversing tracks between iconic buildings, bridges, and miniature landscapes of Montgomery County.
Park closer to the exhibit by visiting the conservatory directly: 1500 Glenallen Ave
Come and see if you can recognize all the landmarks! This splendid family tradition will be amplified by the backdrop of a magical indoor woodland.

Please note, the Garden Railway Exhibit is not open in the evenings during Garden of Lights.
Summer Twilight Concert Series
Join us each Wednesday evening in June for a series of musical performances set in the beauty of the Gardens!
Bring your friends and family, and don’t forget your chairs, blankets, and picnics (allowed in the Gardens on concert evenings only). Alcoholic beverages of any kind are prohibited. Food trucks will also be available for your dining pleasure.

Where to Park
Parking is limited and available at the Main Entrance 1800 Glenallan Avenue
- Conservatory Entrance 1500 Glenallan Avenue, Wheaton, MD.
- NO parking allowed along Glenallan Avenue.
Arriving on foot or bike
- Pedestrians can use either the entrance at:
- 1800 Glenallan Avenue
- 1500 Glenallan Avenue
- 2000 Shorefield Road near the Wheaton Regional Park playground
Public Transportation
- Take Bus # 10 or C8 to Randolph Road & Glenallan Avenue (Stop ID: 2000701)
- Randolph Road & Heurich Road (Stop ID: 2000716).
- Follow Glenallan Avenue or Heurich Road and the entrance to Brookside Gardens will be directly in front of you.
- Note: Heurich Road has a sidewalk the length of the walk to Brookside Gardens, Glenallan Avenue does not.
Event Seating
- Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and picnic blankets for seating.
- Hammocks, tables, beach umbrellas, portable pavilion tents, or pop-up tents are not allowed.
Restrooms
Restrooms will be available inside the Brookside Gardens Visitor Center from 5:00pm-8:00pm
Food Options
- Food trucks will be selling food (see above under each performance for details).
- Picnics are permitted at Brookside Gardens at performance evenings only.
No Alcohol or Smoking Permitted
- Alcohol of any kind is prohibited.
- Smoking is prohibited.
Brookside Gardens Accessibility
- This event is Generally Accessible according to the 2010 ADA Standards and Guidelines.
- Accessible parking spaces are in the 1800 Glenallan Avenue and 1500 Glenallan Avenue parking lots.
- 1800 Glennallen Avenue parking lot is Fully Accessible, and has 11 accessible parking spaces,
- The performance will take place in the Visitor Center lawn.
- There is a short distance between the 1800 Glenallan Avenue parking lot, and the Visitor Center lawn.
- The Visitor Center lawn is a large grassy area that is relatively flat and accessible from a paved walkway.
