This spring, unwind with Prose in the Park, a relaxing morning of books, coffee, music, and fresh air. Slow down, unplug, and spend a peaceful morning surrounded by nature and good stories.

Prose in the Park invites you to:  

  • Bring a favorite read, or discover a new one
  • Let little bookworms join in for a Childrens story time at 10 am and 11 am 
  • Enjoy live acoustic music from Jennifer Schimpf to set a peaceful, easygoing vibe
  • Sip coffee and enjoy pastries available from Travelin’ Tom’s and Praline Bakery

Visit our vendors: 

  • Wonderland Books – browse and buy new titles including bestsellers, local authors, kids’ books, and more 
  • Montgomery County Public Library – book-based programming, activities, and library card sign-ups 

Bring a favorite read, spread out a blanket, sip something warm, and settle in for a relaxing start to your day in the park. Whether you stay for a single chapter or the whole morning, Prose in the Park is all about making space to pause and enjoy nature, books, and good music all at your own pace.
