Bathroom Outreach Project

Hillandale Local Park picnic shelter and bathrooms
Bathrooms at Stratton Local Park

Project Overview

Montgomery Parks knows that access to bathrooms is a top priority for park visitors. That’s why we’ve launched an effort to better understand the current state of our restroom facilities and how we can improve them.

Since 2024, Parks staff have been collecting data to evaluate the existing condition of park bathrooms, including their physical state, operational status, and maintenance costs. This helps us identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.

As a next step in the process, we want to hear from the community about what matters most about bathroom access in parks to make informed choices about how to balance community needs and staff capacity to improve access to park bathroom facilities.
