Montgomery Parks will open ticket sales on October 13 for its annual Garden of Lights winter display at Brookside Gardens

WHEATON, Md.- Montgomery Parks is getting ready for its annual Garden of Lights winter display. Tickets go on sale Monday, October 13, 2025, at 10 a.m. and are available online at GardenofLights.org.

Garden of Lights is a walk-through seasonal light display featuring more than one million twinkling lights, formed into dazzling displays of flowers, animals, and other natural elements. Garden of Lights opens for the season on Friday, November 21, 2025, at 5:00 p.m.

Tickets

 Available online only at the Garden of Lights website
 Friday – Saturday: $16.99 (includes $1.99 service fee) per person
 Sunday – Thursday: $13.99 (includes $1.99 service fee) per person
 Everyone five years old and up must have a ticket.

The event is held rain or shine. Tickets are non-refundable; however, they can be transferred to an alternative date when available.

Garden of Lights event details

Garden of Lights will be open November 21, 2025, through January 4, 2026, 5 to 9 p.m. (closed Nov. 24 through 27, Dec. 24 and 25, and January 1). Hot drinks and light refreshments will be available for purchase. The Brookside Gardens Visitor Center will be open for visitors to use the restrooms and visit the Gift Shop. Both close at 9 p.m.

The free Garden Railway exhibit is open during the Conservatory’s daytime hours from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, November 29, 2025, to Sunday, January 4, 2026 (closed on December 25 and January 1). The Garden Railway exhibit showcases seasonal G-scale model trains running through model representations of local Maryland landmarks. The Garden Railway exhibit will be closed during Garden of Lights hours.

Note: Brookside Gardens’ buildings and grounds will close to the public at 4 p.m. each day during Garden of Lights then reopen for the ticketed event at 5:00 p.m.
