SEASONAL ATTRACTIONS
Spring Eye Spy Trains | Daily, April 14–21 | 9:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
Cabin John Miniature Train, Bethesda and Wheaton Miniature Train
Hop aboard the miniature trains for a scenic ride and fun activities at the station. Tickets: $5 each Eye Spy Train only (Cabin John and Wheaton); $4 each or $36 for 10 Carousel only (Wheaton).
The Butterfly Experience | Daily through September 21 | 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Brookside Gardens, Wheaton
Walk among butterflies from around the world. Tickets: $14: ages 13+; $9: ages 3-9; Free: ages 0-2. Timed tickets are required for entry and available for purchase online only. Buy tickets for The Butterfly Experience.
OUTDOOR ADVENTURES
Teen Outdoor Adventure Day | April 14 | 9 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
Black Hill Discovery Center, Boyds
Teens can enjoy hiking, fire-building, geocaching, and more. Ages 12-15. Register for Teen Outdoor Adventure Day. $50 per person ($48: Friends of Black Hill)
Canopy Connection for Teens | April 16 | 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
Washington Square Neighborhood Park, Gaithersburg
Teens can climb into the treetops and learn rope techniques. Ages 14-18. Register for Canopy Connection for Teens. $75 per person.
Roots to Rock: Youth Mountain Bike Ride | April 18 | 5-7 p.m.
Northwest Branch Stream Valley Park, Silver Spring
A “no rider left behind” group ride with skills instruction. Bikes and helmets available. Riders will be sent exact meeting location prior to the event. Ages 6 and older. Register for Roots to Rock: Youth Mountain Bike Ride. Free.
Youth BioBlitz | April 19 | 11 a.m.‒12 p.m.
Brookside Gardens, Wheaton
Help collect real data and take pics of the biodiversity in the Gardens with your phone while hanging out with friends. Ages 13‒18. Register for Youth BioBlitz. Free.

Spring Break Golf Camp | April 14 – 18 | 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
South Germantown Driving Range, Boyds
Learn golf basics and end the week with a nine-hole tournament. Ages 9 to 14. Register for Spring Break Golf Camp. $225 per person.
Spring Break Advanced Freestyle Camp | April 14 – 18 | 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Cabin John Ice Rink, Bethesda

Spring Break Tennis Days | Daily, April 14 – 18 | 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

ARTS AND SCIENCES
Wild, Wacky, Weird: Spring Break Activity Series | April 15, 16, and 18 | 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and 2-3 p.m.
Meadowside Nature Center, Rockville
Camps are $7 per person:
- April 15: Creek Crawl – Catch and learn about aquatic macroinvertebrates and water quality in the creek. Ages 4 and older. Register for Creek Crawl.
- April 16: Bubbly Fizzy, and Explosive Science – Hands-on science fun. Ages 6 and older. Register for Bubbly, Fizzy, and Explosive Science.
- April 18: Learn to Make Living Paper – Create seeded paper art. Ages 3 and older. Register for Learn to Make Living Paper.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Fairy Gardening for Butterflies | April 18 | 1-2 p.m.
Brookside Nature Center, Wheaton

Sandy Spring
Woodlawn Museum open for self-guided exploration. Admission: $4 for children and seniors (55+), and $5 for adults.
Underground Railroad Experience Trail Guided Hikes | April 18 – 19 | 10 –11:30 a.m.
Woodlawn Manor Cultural Park, Sandy Spring
Learn about the experiences of 19th century freedom seekers and Montgomery County residents. Recommended ages 7 and older. $8 per person. Advance registration highly encouraged. Purchase tickets for Underground Railroad Experience Trail Guided Hike. (Limited walk-in availability.)
History of Play | April 19 | 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Josiah Henson Museum and Park, North Bethesda
