Free Remembrance and Reconciliation Weekend at Josiah Henson Museum and Park

In partnership with the Montgomery County Office of Human Rights, Montgomery Parks will commemorate Montgomery County Remembrance and Reconciliation month with free admission at the Josiah Henson Museum and Park on Saturday, November 8, and Sunday, November 9.

The weekend will include the following activities:

  • Hands-On Activities in the Riley-Bolten House
  • Lawn Games for Families
  • Self-Guided Tours of the museum and grounds
  • Free book distribution of The Life of Josiah Henson or Josiah Learns to Read: The Josiah Henson Story (while supplies last)
  • Archaeology Tours of the Historical Site on Saturday only
