Nancy H. Dacek North Potomac Community Recreation Center
Montgomery County will join in celebrating “Active Aging Week” (AAW) from Monday, October 6 through Sunday, October 12, as part of an international effort to highlight the benefits of maintaining healthy, active lifestyles—physically, mentally and socially—for older adults. During the week, various free programs, events and activities for residents 50 and over will take place throughout the County.
The signature event, “Go, Grow & Get Active,” will kick off AAW from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. on Monday, October 6, at the Nancy H. Dacek North Potomac Community Recreation Center. Attendees can participate in various activities and workshops designed to enhance physical and mental wellness through creative expression, exercise and social interaction. The Nancy H. Dacek North Potomac Community Recreation Center is located at 13850 Travilah Road.
