Project Overview
This project will revitalize and enhance the existing amenities at Stoneybrook Local Park, with improvements thoughtfully tailored to meet the needs of the Silver Spring community. In addition to these upgrades, a new skate park will be introduced as a complementary amenity, expanding recreational opportunities for park visitors.
Stoneybrook Local Park, encompassing approximately 11 acres, was acquired by M-NCPPC in 1971 and is surrounded by residential neighborhoods. The park currently features a playground, park activity building, soccer field, softball field overlay, basketball courts, and lighted tennis courts. In spring 2025, the soccer field was renovated and relocated to make space for upcoming park improvements.
