Northwest Branch Trail Extension

Project Description:

This project will extend the natural surface of Northwest Branch Trail from Bonifant Road through the Northwest Branch Recreational Park, to Route 28.  Phase 1 of the project will be construction around the Trolley Museum on Bonifant Road, through to Cutstone Way.  Phase 2 will continue north to Route 28.

Background:

As a part of the Countywide Park Trails Plan amended in 2016, this project serves the Eastern County Trail Planning Area and will connect the lower part of the county with points north.

Status/Project Update

Phase 1 of the project will take place November 2023. Phase 2 will take place in spring of 2024.
