Wheaton Miniature Train

The Wheaton Miniature Train is a third-scale replica of the 1863 C.P. Huntington engine, with passenger cars. The train takes riders on a two-mile trek through Wheaton Regional Park, with the highlights being a miniature trestle bridge, plenty of wildlife (turtles are known to make multiple appearances in season), and of course the tunnel!

In total, the Miniature Train can hold up to 75 people! So climb aboard, get comfortable, and let us roll you through the Park!

** For safety and mechanical reasons, the miniature train cannot operate when there is any rain/condensation on the tracks**

Constructed in 1915, the Ovid Hazen Wells Carousel celebrated a 105 year birthday in the year 2020 and continues to bring joy to people each Spring and Summer. With 33 jumping horses, three zebras and two chariots, this Carousel is one of a kind. Having served as the Smithsonian Carousel on the National Mall from 1967 until 1981, this beautiful work of art has seen some amazing American history take place.

**Special Note: The Carousel cannot operate during Thunderstorms**
