Park Renovation
Montgomery Parks is currently planning park improvements for the Rosemary Hills-Lyttonsville Local Park. The park serves a large, diverse population from surrounding neighborhoods and beyond. Through its existing amenities, the park provides opportunities for active recreation, social connection, and enjoyment of nature.
The goal of this project is to update aging facilities in the park and to provide new possibilities for active use by improving existing amenities, adding new amenities, and improving ADA access throughout the park. Renovations have already begun with more to come.
- Renovations to the diamond field infield were completed in winter 2023.
- The soccer field renovation started in December 2024, with regrading and resodding the goal mouth areas of the field, and removing the existing goals. New portable soccer goals will be instaled in mid-March 2025. A full field renovation is scheduled for fall 2025.
