The Ovid Hazen Wells Carousel was installed at Ovid Hazen Wells Recreational Park in April 2026. The carousel is a 36-foot Victorian style carousel with oak floors.
The carousel incorporates several historic horses and a chariot from the original Ovid Hazen Wells Carousel. The original carousel was constructed in 1915 and operated as the Herschell-Spillman Carousel on the National Mall from 1967 until 1981 and then delighted park vistiors at Wheaton Regional Park from 1983 to 2024.
