Accessible Fire Ring @ Maydale Nature Classroom
Having an accessible fire ring at Maydale means that everyone, regardless of physical ability, can fully enjoy outdoor gatherings and nature programs. The fire ring at Maydale features ADA-compliant pathways connecting accessible parking, the classroom, the fire ring, picnic shelter, and nature play area. This inclusive design ensures that people with mobility challenges can participate in activities, making Maydale’s fire ring the first accessible one in the Department. Its scenic location and thoughtful improvements create a welcoming space for all visitors to experience nature together.
Campfire Ring Rental
A staff person will be on hand to ensure you can get your fire started and that the fire is properly extinguished.
- Includes: fuel wood, fire starters, and buckets of water
- Electricity and matches are not provided for campfires.
- For both campfire and pavilion rentals, balloons and pinatas are not allowed.
- In addition, users are responsible for removing trash and debris and leaving the area clean.
- Fee is $150 for 3 hours
- Limited to 35 People
