Accessible Fire Ring @ Maydale Nature Classroom
Having an accessible fire ring at Maydale means that everyone, regardless of physical ability, can fully enjoy outdoor gatherings and nature programs. The fire ring at Maydale features ADA-compliant pathways connecting accessible parking, the classroom, the fire ring, picnic shelter, and nature play area. This inclusive design ensures that people with mobility challenges can participate in activities, making Maydale’s fire ring the first accessible one in the Department. Its scenic location and thoughtful improvements create a welcoming space for all visitors to experience nature together.
The campfire ring is currently being used with Maydale Nature Classroom programming.
