There are four pickleball courts on two lighted tennis courts, one lighted basketball court, and one volleyball court available for use by the general public on a first-come, first-served basis.
Baseball and softball fields are available for games or practice only with a permit. For permit information, applications, and guidelines for use, contact Park Permits.
Soccer fields may be permitted for games and practices. For permits, information, applications, and guidelines for use, contact Park Permits. Field 5 is a regulation size soccer field, and fields 6, 7, and 8 are available for youth play only.

A portion of the paved Magruder Branch Hiker Biker Trail is located in Damascus Recreational Park.
As part of the former Art in the Parks initiative, Wind Harps by sculptor Rodney Carroll was installed in the park in 1992. The towering musical sculpture serves as a landmark for the park and emits calming sounds when the winds blow into the strings.
