Help us plant natives in the Wheaton Regional Forest.
NOTE: This event was previously scheduled for 9/16 but we needed to cancel due to lack of rain. This event may once again be postponed or cancelled if the ground is too dry. Pre-registrants will be notified.
Join Montgomery Parks Vegetation Management Staff and help us plant over 350 native plugs (baby plants) in the Wheaton Regional Park forest where we have been actively controlling non-native invasive plants. The plants will be supplied by our very own Pope Farm nursery! We may also work on cutting invasive vines and shrubs in the area.
Meet in the little parking lot on the corner of Glenallan Ave and Kemp Mill Rd. (Lat/Long: 39.06208944458532, -77.02703749783637). Overflow parking is on the street. Click here for a google map of the little parking lot and meeting location.
