Did you know many local plants make a flavorful infusion when steeped in hot water? Introduce your tastebuds to a sampling of natural teas like spicebush, sweetbay magnolia, and turkey tails. Go on a walk in the woods and learn how to identify these plants as we discuss the safety and ethics of foraging for wild foods. Finally, we’ll learn how to dry, prepare, and package wild herbs as teas. This workshop is designed to empower beginners in learning practical and fun outdoor skills. No experience required; beginners are encouraged! Each participant will also create and take home their own custom blend of loose-leaf tea in a giftable bag ($10 value). Please register in advance and dress for the weather, as we will be outside for a portion of the program
