Takuga: Botanical Prints in Ink and Watercolor

Instructor: Sue Fierston, teaching artist and president of the International Nature Printing Society

Explore the Japanese art of Takuga, the intersection between printmaking and watercolor!  Students will use special ink to hand-print leaves, flowers, or vegetables, and then paint with watercolor. Create artwork on a variety of printmaking papers, ready for framing or cards. Bring materials from your garden or select from options provided in class.
