About the Performance

Co-directed by artists Mark Jaster and Sabrina Mandell, Happenstance Theater was founded in 2006 to create poetic theater rooted in imagination and play. The ensemble is made up of versatile performers who build each show collaboratively—from the first spark of an idea to the dialogue, music, costumes, and set pieces. Using simple tools such as humor, music, physical comedy, and a touch of whimsy, Happenstance Theater focuses on the moment performers and audiences meet, gently blurring the line between imagination and reality and inviting audiences to feel part of the performance itself.
