Parks Playhouse Junior - June 7

Calling All Little Musicians and Performers

On June 7 at North Four Corners Local Park  (315 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD 20901), join Montgomery Parks from 10 to 11 am for a Parks Playhouse Junior event—live performance by The Uncle Devin Show.

Make sure to prepare for each event by bringing your sunny day gear and blankets or lawn chairs for viewing. Make it a mid-morning picnic by bringing along your favorite snacks and treats to munch on while you enjoy the show. This performance is for children of all ages.

Parks Playhouse Junior performances will be rolling throughout the summer on both weekday and weekend mornings from 10 to 11 am. Check the Parks Playhouse Junior event page to see the full lineup.

About the Performance

The Uncle Devin Show is an interactive, musical experience for children by renowned drummer and percussionist, Devin Walker. The show cultivates the minds of children through percussion instruments and is a dynamic cross between DC’s Trouble Funk and Schoolhouse Rock!

Born in Washington, DC and raised in the nearby suburb of Seat Pleasant, MD Uncle Devin was heavily influenced by the rhythms of the official music of DC, Go-Go, as well as Jazz, Bossa Nova, and conscious Hip Hop. He took over his brother’s drum set at an early age and never looked back.

Driven by the desire to use his gifts to inspire children, Uncle Devin’s purpose is to ensure a more loving, peaceful, and equitable world for all.
