Step into the past and experience the vital tools and daily chores that kept the farm running in this engaging homeschool history class! Students will explore how farming tools have changed over time and discover their historical uses—from plows and hoes to buckets and yokes. They’ll also learn about the essential chores that were necessary for survival on the farm, such as caring for livestock and planting and harvesting crops. The class will explore who performed these tasks at different points in the farm park’s history, with a special focus on the roles children played. What chores were typically assigned to children, and how did their work help sustain farm life? Through interactive activities and demonstrations, students will gain a deeper understanding of the hard work and teamwork that kept the farm thriving throughout the ages.
