Homeschool Day at Oakley Cabin

Journey back in time to the 1880s to learn “A Washerwoman’s Story” and meet this person from the past, portrayed by Sheila Arnold who will share about the life of a washerwoman – her challenging daily life and her contributions to her community. We will recognize the important role that “unskilled” laborers play in shaping our communities and country. Explore the historic log cabin and make crafts. Sheila Arnold is a master storyteller, teaching artist and co-founder of Artists Standing Strong Together (ASST). Co-sponsored by Story Tapestries.
