Feeding Nature: DIY Bird Feeders and Wildlife Education

Join us for Fun on the Farm, a weekly summer program where kids can dive into farm-themed arts and crafts activities, all while learning about the history and significance of their masterpieces. It’s a perfect opportunity for kids to get out of the house, unplug, and have fun while getting hands-on with creative projects and learning about the exciting world of agriculture!

In this fun and educational summer program, kids will create a variety of bird feeders using different materials and techniques. They’ll learn how to make simple yet effective feeders that attract local birds, providing them with food and shelter. As they build their feeders, children will also discover the importance of bird conservation and the role feeders play in supporting wildlife, especially during the changing seasons. By the end of the program, each child will have some bird feeders to take home and hang in their own yards, while also gaining a deeper appreciation for the birds that visit their communities.

This is a drop-off program, but parents are welcome to hang around the farm park during the class. Please be sure to dress for the weather and bring water.
