Join us at the Discovery Center for a celebration of the Black Hill Earth Bench. Ten years ago, our Earth Bench was built using 1,000 lbs. of recycled materials including bricks made of plastic trash, broken concrete, bamboo, clay, stone, and recycled tile mosaics. Two hundred and sixty-five volunteers from our community, including families, Friends of Black Hill members, and local students, worked 1,100 hours to create a unique bench, which has become a gathering place to enjoy the fabulous view of the meadow, lake, and gorgeous sunsets. We hope to see many of you that contributed to this amazing project enjoyed by so many visitors. Event details will be posted later.
