Artifact Identification Workshop

Join Montgomery Parks for an artifact identification workshop at Needwood Mansion in Derwood, MD! Learn how to identify and differentiate common artifacts found in the Mid-Atlantic region from Montgomery Parks archaeologists in the Archaeology Lab. Open to students, volunteers, and anyone interested in learning more about archaeology. The workshop will run from 10am-12pm on Saturday, February 28th, 2026. Preregistration, including a fee of $5 per person, is required. Parking is free. Needwood Mansion is located at 6700 Needwood Road, Derwood, MD 20855.
