All-Star Comedy Show

Laugh off the summer heat and enjoy a free comedy show!

On Friday, August 15th, Montgomery Parks’ All-Star Comedy Show will feature a lineup of local comedians from Improbable Comedy, food trucks, and local craft drinks at Cabin John Regional Park.

What to expect: 

  • 6 pm – Get there early and check out the train station, dog park, or any of the trails within the park. Guests can find food and drinks for purchase from Lavish Savory Food Truck, Catalyst Hot Dogs, Saints Row Brewing, Third Hill Brewing, and grab a spot to sit for the show.
  • 7 pm – The comedy show will kick off with an All-Star lineup of comedians. 

Audience members are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and picnic blankets for viewing.  

This event is intended for mature audiences ages 17 and up and is not recommended for viewers under 17. Viewer discretion is advised.  

ASL Interpretation will be provided by Montgomery Park’s Program Access

Comedian Line-Up

Patty Mata – @pattybmata

Patty is a DC based comic who spent most of her life in small town Canada. When Patty isn’t doing comedy, she is a local social worker who is desperately trying not to get deported. Her style of comedy mostly revolves around “not being from here”, exploring the messiness of being a woman and generally poking fun at the state of the country’s affairs. She welcomes all forms of flattery and accepts maple syrup as a tradable good. Patty has been seen hosting at the Arlington Drafthouse for Dulce Sloan and Adam Conover

David Balagizi – @_zunni_

David Balagizi is a young comic, who lights an audience with his crowd work, African upbringing, and also his weird observations. 
He’s amassed an amazing 1 Million on Social Media with his hilarious videos! David has also had the pleasure of working with headliners like Joe List, Faizon Love and Steve Byrne! And has headlined all across the DMV area and NY. 

Jenny Questell – @jennyismessy

Jenny Questell is a Washington, D.C. based stand-up comedian who has performed at the Kennedy Center and DC Improv. She’s a regular at Underground Comedy at Hotbed Comedy Club and has also performed in the Bentzen Ball Comedy Festival and the North Carolina Comedy Festival. She co-produces The Living Room Show, one of the city’s hottest showcases, and is the co-host of the podcast “Isn’t it Romantic?”.

Mahmoud Jaber – @mahmoudjabs

Mahmoud Jaber is a Beirut-made and now DC-based comedian who likes to bring creative people together to put on shows that make people laugh. You’ve seen Mahmoud perform at the Kennedy Center, the DC Improv, and the Comedy Loft.

Dewayne White – @whitedewaynecomedy

Dewayne White is quickly becoming one of the most sought-after comics on the scene. Hailing from Washington, D.C., his no-nonsense, East Coast demeanor seamlessly transforms into hilarity on stage. He draws on his experiences as a combat wounded Army vet, husband and father with a no holds barred attitude. With irreverent observations and an infectious energy, Dewayne always delivers an unforgettable evening of laughter. He’s shared the stage with comedy heavyweights like Josh Blue, Mark Normand, and Jo Firestone, Now he’s headlining comedy clubs across the country and touring internationally with the USO or Armed Forces Entertainment.

DLo – @redcuplo

Comedian D. Lo hails from Baltimore MD. Always a jokester, DLo stumbled into the comedy world, in Nov 2015, after a leg injury had her out of work. After countless open mics, she began to rise in the Baltimore comedy scene as a force to be reckoned with. Known for her quick wit and comebacks, she is definitely a spitfire on the mic. In her short comedy career she has won more than 15 competitions, been a finalist in Magoobys New Comedian of the Year Competition, headlined various shows in Baltimore, DC, Delaware, Ohio, NYC, Las Vegas, and Jamaica. She is the unanimous winner of Comedy Wars DMV and has been a finalist in Kevin Hart’s “Hart of the City” on Comedy Central.
