Adaptive Kayaking Clinic

Participants with disabilities are welcome to join our Adaptive Kayaking Clinic on the calm, flat waters of Seneca Creek and the Potomac River. Offered in partnership with Team River Runner, the program provides supportive and adaptive equipment such as transfer benches, hand and wrist supports, stabilizing outriggers, and supportive seating systems to enhance access and comfort for participants who benefit from physical supports.

Certified instructors, trained volunteers, and staff ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. Each registered participant can bring one guest by answering the custom question during registration. Participants must complete an adaptive sports intake form and consultation before attending. All essential gear, including PFDs and paddles, are provided. Registration is required.

You will receive a request to complete our online Adaptive Sports Pre-consultation form and be contacted by a member of the Program Access team in preparation for the program. A detailed email will be sent prior to the program providing program information and requesting confirmation of attendance.
