O Romeo, Romeo
Wherefore art thou Romeo
In Montgomery Parks of course
Throughout the Summer season, Montgomery Parks is hosting Parks Playhouse — a series of free, live performances to celebrate the artistry of great local bands, troupes, and groups.

The summer lineup includes themed comedy shows like a PRIDE stand-up and an all-Spanish language stand-up, classic Shakespearean and vaudeville theater, and many live bands. Performances will be rolling throughout the summer at different park locations, so be sure to explore the calendar below for a complete lineup and check back in the coming weeks for more information about each event.

Audience members are encouraged to bring their own blankets and chairs for seating. Stop by a local Montgomery County restaurant on the way and pick up some yummy snacks to make it a picnic. Food and drink will be provided at a limited number of events.

Clear your schedule in August for the Parks Playhouse finale week at the Cabin John Amphitheater. There will be a free performance each night starting on Tuesday, August 15, and ending on Friday, August 18. Performance content will vary from kids’ music to adult comedy to family-friendly concerts, so plan your evening agendas accordingly.

For little art lovers, Montgomery Parks is also hosting Parks Playhouse Junior — live performances geared to kids ages two through twelve. These events will consist of puppets, ventriloquists, music lessons, sing-a-longs, and more. Be sure to check out that performance lineup by exploring the Parks Playhouse Junior page.

Sign Language Interpretation will be provided by Montgomery Parks’ Program Access at some Parks Playhouse events. Click the individual dates in the table below to learn more.
