Montgomery Parks Community Garden program is full for the 2022 season.

Sign Up for the Community Garden Waitlist Request Form

The community gardens program offers Montgomery County residents parkland for local food production. Garden with 500 fellow gardeners from all over Montgomery County.

Participants must join the communication listserv for their garden location. As part of that Community, gardeners agree:

  • to observe the rules governing the garden and be active participants in the community.
  • keep the communal areas of the garden weeded and chipped
  • perform a variety of community garden maintenance tasks as directed by the Parks Volunteer Garden Liaisons in each garden.
  • contribute eight communal service hours annually.

Our community gardeners grow much more than vegetables and flowers. Community Gardens make positive environmental, economic, and aesthetic impacts on daily lives. As the program grows, Montgomery Parks will respond by increasing community garden spaces.

More information, including applications, waitlist, and conditions of use can be found at the Community Gardens Program and Permit Information page.
