Montgomery Parks’ book clubs offer a community for like-minded readers that enjoy science, nature, or history books.
Black Hill Bookworms
When: every fourth Thursday of the month, March through October
Where: In-person at Black Hill Discovery Center, 20926 Lake Ridge Drive in Boyds
This book discussion group will focus on environmental, conservation, and nature-related topics including non-fiction and fiction titles. Group members will have the chance to help select future books. Please register for each discussion you plan to attend so that we can contact you ahead of the meet-up. Please feel free to bring dinner or snacks with you to have during the discussion. All selected books are available through the Montgomery County Public Library. Nature Book Club for 55+
When: The group meets every third Tuesday of the month.
Where: Some meetings are in person, locations vary, and some are virtual.

Nerdy By Nature Book Club
When: November 14
Where: Meadowside Nature Center, 5100 Meadowside Lane in Rockville.
Enjoy tea, treats and a naturalist-led discussion about, The Comfort of Crows by Margaret Renkl. We’ll explore the plants and animals that Renkl beautifully describes in her memoir, and simple ways we can support these ecological relationships in our everyday lives. Registrants are encouraged to attend regardless of how far they are in their reading/listening journey. The Comfort of Crows is available in book, eBook and audio format at local libraries, as well as new and used retailers.
