MD DOT- SHA Transit project work to intermittently disrupt park access and use.
The Maryland Transit Administration – State Highway Administration’s Purple Transit Construction Project is still in progress. The scope of the project will impact several parks. Please continue to visit the Purple Line Transit Construction Project for updates and schedules.
- Purple Line Project Additional Work at Sligo Cabin Neighborhood Park. Contractors will be realigning the Sligo Creek Trail that runs through Sligo Cabin Neighborhood Park. They will be removing trees, installing stormwater management, and other items. Parks will close a part of the parking lot for use as a staging area. Park users should expect disruptions and temporary closures of the playground as well.

- Parks continues to close sections of parkways throughout Montgomery County to vehicular traffic. Closures start Friday at 9 AM through Sunday at 6 PM, until further notice.
