Girl Scouts Badge Programs
Earn your Girl Scout badges at Black Hill Discovery Center with real-life, hands-on field experiences and fun! These programs meet badge requirements, but Black Hill does not provide the actual badges. Generally, all requirements for badges are covered during a 2-hour program. $15 per Girl Scout; there is no charge for adults. Minimum 5 Girl Scouts or $75 fee.

Cadette- Eco Trekker, Night Owl, Outdoor Art Apprentice, Trees
Senior- Outdoor Art Expert, Paddling*
Senior Paddling Badge: Come learn how to paddle on flat water in recreational solo kayaks on Little Seneca Lake. Learn basic strokes, entries and exits, boat control, and more, taught by certified American Canoe Association instructors. You must be able to swim. All necessary equipment is provided. Offered late April thru early October, ages 12- adult. This is a 2 hour program with a fee of $60 per person. Minimum of 5 participants.
Camp Inn at Black Hill Discovery Center
Looking for a great overnight adventure for your Girl Scouts? Come to Black Hill Discovery Center for a Camp Inn!
Come find out what happens in the park after dark. The Discovery Center will become your very own space to enjoy the sunset, stars, and comradery. Staying overnight is a great bonding experience.
Camp Inn begins after the center is closed to the public until 10:00 am the next morning. The fee is just $35 per person, with one adult for every five children. Minimum fee of $245 per overnight is required. For more details, contact us.

Gold Award
The Girl Scout Gold Award represents the highest achievement in Girl Scouts. We have worked with previous Gold Award candidates in designing, coordinating, and completing a pre-approved project at our center. An example of a past project is our “Junior Naturalist” program.
