WHEATON, Md. – Montgomery Parks is gearing up for Memorial Day 2026, including holiday operating hours and extending its Open Parkways through Monday, May 25, for the holiday weekend.    

Open Parkways schedule

The Open Parkways will be extended for the Memorial Day holiday weekend. During this time, parkways are open to pedestrians and bicyclists and closed to motor vehicles.

*Please note: Gate closures are intended to be completed by the times listed above. The re-opening of the parkways begins at the times listed above. However, this process may take up to 30 minutes to complete.

The South Germantown SplashPark & Mini-Golf and Lake Needwood and Black Hill Boats (Kayak, canoe, rowboats, and pedal boat rentals)
