Join Weed Warrior Supervisor Sarah for a non-native, invasive plant removal workday on the Capital Crescent Trail at River Road in Chevy Chase, MD. Meet at the Capital Crescent Trail (CCT) at the Neil Potter Plaza at River Road. There is parking on Landy Lane. Meet us at the Plaza; we will be working uphill towards Bethesda.
Please wear long pants that cover your ankles, tall socks, long sleeves, and sturdy, closed-toed shoes. Bring gloves, pruners, small folding hand saws and/or loppers if you have them. Gardening-type gloves and tools are available to borrow if you don’t have your own. No power tools, herbicides, or machetes allowed. Please bring water to drink. Please note: Court Ordered Volunteer Hours can’t be granted through this workday.
Weather policy: We usually hold Weed Warrior events as long as there is not pouring rain or deep snow. However, if the weather is deemed dangerous for outdoor activities, we will cancel. Cancellation will be posted on the Little Falls Watershed Alliance website one hour before the event start time. Contact info@LFWA.org for more information.

This workday is pre-approved for MCPS SSL hours. Volunteers must be 16 years or older to join this event.
