New to the area or just want to get out for a hike? Explore different parks in Montgomery County with an experienced naturalist. Length of hike and trail difficulty varies from site to site.
Today we’ll explore Dickerson Conservation Park, a 304-acre park situated between the Potomac River and the C&O Canal and home to Maryland’s largest tree, an American Sycamore. We should also see beautiful spring ephemeral wildflowers as we hike. Trails can be muddy, so please wear appropriate shoes, and you may want to bring a hiking pole as well. Meeting location is 20700 Martinsburg Road, Dickerson, MD 20842.
