Discover the joy of creating with Hands-On History! In this dynamic program, kids will dive into the skills and crafts of the past as they explore a variety of traditional hands-on activities. From wood carving and leather working to paper making, basket weaving and more, each session offers a new opportunity for young crafters to learn, create and connect with history in a tangible way. Guided by engaging instructors, participants will gain confidence as they work with real tools and materials – experiencing firsthand how everyday items were crafted long before modern technology. Each session brings a fresh project and a chance to explore a different historical technique. Please remember to bring water and dress for the activity – some may get messy!
MOTHER’S DAY SPECIAL!!
To celebrate Mother’s Day, we’re inviting mothers (or mother figures) to join their children for a memorable, hands-on crafting experience. During this special session, each parent–child pair will work together on a unique two-person project inspired by traditional techniques — creating not only a handmade keepsake, but also a shared moment to treasure. It’s the perfect way to connect, create, and celebrate the day together!
