Looking for a fun way to learn outdoor skills? Come explore how to start a campfire, build a shelter, cook in the wild, and more! Whether you’re brand new to these activities or just want to practice skills you learned years ago, we offer a variety of hands-on classes for all ages. It’s a great way to build confidence and connect with nature.
Hoping to start the fire at your next cookout or campfire? From start to finish, we will go over how to build a fire, how to keep it going, and how to safely put it out. We will discuss best practices for making fires safely. This program will use matches and is ideal for both novices to fire building and those looking to get more practice. Participants will each get to practice at their own level and have a campfire treat. Please register all participants. Meet at the campfire area by Shelter F on Parking Lot 3, in Black Hill Regional Park. Park in Lot 3 and follow the orange cones to the campfire circle. FOBH $13.
