Potomac Conservancy Cleanup at Strathmore Local Park

Join Potomac Conservancy for a trash-tastic cleanup at Matthew Henson Trail, MD. Make a huge difference for the Potomac River as we turn to the water for a swimmable and fishable river. Polluted urban runoff is the only growing source of pollution to the river which is why we need your help.

Secure your spot today to take action for your hometown river!

  • Children under 14 years old must volunteer with a parent/guardian.
  • All cleanups are pre-approved for SSL hours*. Forms are provided at the cleanup.
  • Students must pre-register to receive SSL hours. Do not use an MCPS email.
  • This opportunity is not eligible for court-ordered service.

We’ll provide all the event supplies (trash bags, gloves, trash grabbers, etc.), but we strongly recommend that you bring your own if you have some

Once registered, please expect a reminder email the Wednesday before the event with more information regarding our updated safety protocols and what to expect
