Learn historical context and techniques used to navigate the way North to freedom including the challenges and opportunities nighttime travel presented. Traverse the trail with the help of stars and moonlight while learning which plants were helpful along the journey.
Participants are highly encouraged to bring a flashlight and wear light colored or reflective clothing. Hike will begin at 6:30 pm and end at approximately 8:00 pm. Woodlawn Museum admission included; please arrive 30 minutes prior to the start of the hike to explore the museum. Hike covers approx. 2 miles and lasts 1 ½ hours. Trail is not ADA accessible or suitable for all strollers. Appropriate for ages 15 and up. Check in at Visitor Center.
Admission: $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and children. Advanced registration required by 5 pm Wednesday before hike.
