WHEATON, Md. – Montgomery Parks staff are closely monitoring the skyrocketing temperatures and humidity in the Washington area this week, to ensure the safety of park visitors.
Heat-related Closures and Cancellations:
- Brookside Gardens Butterfly Experience will be closing early on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at 1 p.m.
- Brookside Gardens summer twilight concert scheduled for Tuesday, June 24, 2025, is canceled.
- The Shakespeare performance at North Four Corners Local Park scheduled for Tuesday, June 24, 2025, and the rain date of June 25 has been canceled.

Beat the Heat!

- South Germantown Splash Park is open Tuesday-Sunday 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.
- Cabin John Ice Rink has many public skating sessions throughout the week. Check the website for more details.
