Painting leaves is a major challenge for many botanical artists. This in-person workshop explores a variety of techniques to accurately capture autumn leaves in both graphite and watercolor. The class will begin with the drawing of precise outlines of the leaves and follows with detailed graphite studies. Innovative watercolor techniques will advance your ability to create realistic texture and sheen while effectively capturing the multicolored autumn foliage. Approaches will include wet on wet, dry brush and mixed media. As a result, your paintings will be brough to a new level of realism and detail.
