Montgomery Parks will be conducting renovations this summer at Glen Mar Park to improve accessibility, update aging features, and enhance the overall visitor experience.
From June 22 to July 1, the entrance from Massachusetts Ave to the play area on the right will be closed for concrete work.
Planned Improvements
- Improved access: New concrete walkways will replace aging asphalt and improve connections throughout the park.
- Playground upgrades: Expansion of the upper play area for younger children, a new play structure, and replacement of worn materials.
- Recreation improvements: New basketball backboards and preparation for future court resurfacing.
- New furnishings: Picnic tables, benches, trash cans, and bike racks installed on concrete pads.
Some areas of the park may be temporarily closed during construction. On-site signage will provide updates on closures and work activities.
