Paddle, sip, and celebrate Halloween at Montgomery Parks’ Acoustics and Ales: Witchy Waters Edition

Live music, local brews and a magical sunset paddle come together at Black Hill Regional Park

Wheaton, Md. – Grab your pointiest hat and join Montgomery Parks for a spellbinding evening at Acoustics and Ales: Witchy Waters Edition, Saturday, October 24, 2026.  This Halloween-themed event combines two fan-favorite events into one magical evening of live music and sunset paddling.

What:  Acoustics and Ales: Witchy Waters Edition
When:  Saturday, October 24, 2026  | 3:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Where: Black Hill Regional Park / Black Hill Discovery Center, 20926 Lake Ridge Drive, Boyds, MD 20841

The event starts with a performance from Dueling Pianos by Bialek’s Music. Their high-energy show features rock classics, today’s hits, and spooky Halloween favorites. Guests can jam along while enjoying food and beverages available for purchase. Costumes are encouraged. No registration is required for the music event.

Adding to the fun is Witchy Paddle, a costumed sunset paddle on Little Seneca Lake. Participants can arrive in their finest witchy attire and launch their kayak, canoe, or paddleboard for an enchanting excursion across the water before joining the festivities onshore. Witchy Paddle begins at 4:30 p.m. and requires advance registration. Participants must bring their own watercraft, safety equipment, and personal flotation device. Adaptive kayaking is available for adults who would benefit from physical support or adaptive kayaking equipment. To request accommodations, email the Program Access office.
