Merrimac Neighborhood Park is located at 6415 Winston Drive in Bethesda. The renovation will redesign the existing playground and provide new play equipment. Seating, site access, and stormwater management will be upgraded. The meeting is an opportunity for park designers to discuss the options for the remodeled playground and hear the community’s ideas about the project.

“The playground sits on the highest elevation of Merrimac Park, providing nice views of tennis courts, the lawn, and wooded areas. The site’s steep slopes offer an opportunity for a dynamic and engaging play experience,” said Montgomery Parks Landscape Architect Matt Weir. “We look forward to hearing community members’ ideas for the future renovated playground.”

Registration for the meeting is optional. Those who register will be kept updated on the playground renovation as it progresses.
