WHEATON, Md. – Montgomery Parks, part of The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission, has recently completed a series of park projects and renovations at park locations across the county. The park renovations, also known as park refreshers, provide efficient and cost-effective improvements which enable the department to make significant updates to more parks in less time.

“Our ongoing commitment to improving parks and public spaces plays a significant role in the quality of life for county residents. It is so rewarding to see how these projects bring parks to life and connect the community,” said Michael Riley, director of Montgomery Parks.

Recently completed park projects and refresher projects include:

Burnt Mills West Special Park: A new sidewalk was constructed along southbound US 29 in Silver Spring, the parking lot renovated, and a bridge was installed connecting the Northwest Branch Trail to Burnt Mills West Special Park parking lot.
