Walk & Talk: Queer History & Ecology

Among the tree-lined streets and park trails of Takoma Park are queer histories and ecologies waiting to be discovered. During a two-mile walk, you’ll learn about significant local events and people who made an impact on LGBTQ+ culture and history. We’ll also consider our queer animal neighbors as we dive into the budding field of queer ecology.

This program involves a two-mile walk on sidewalks, neighborhood streets, paved parks trails, and some grass. There are gradual, yet moderate inclines along the route.

Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
