Join certified kayak instructors and naturalists for a leisurely paddle at the newly designated Mallows Bay-Potomac River National Marine Sanctuary – home to osprey, eagles, and a ghost fleet of over 100 World War I era wooden steamships. We’ll paddle for three to four hours on slow-moving water. You should be comfortable in a kayak, proficient at basic strokes, and comfortable paddling flat water for a few hours at a time. Fee covers kayak, paddle, PFD, a dry bag, and round-trip transportation from Black Hill Regional Park. Don’t forget to pack your lunch, snacks, and plenty of water. Meet at Black Hill Discovery Center. Registration required. THIS IS NOT AN INSTRUCTIONAL COURSE. FOBH $95
