band members of la unica

La Unica

A Washington, DC-based five-piece band that plays carefully-selected covers and originals in a high-energy style that turns shy guests into party animals. La Unica’s outstanding musicianship and unique “Irish Latin Rock” style greatly expand the band’s repertoire. The Washington Post called La Unica a “pan-genre party band”, and their fans call them exciting, creative, and high-energy. A celebratory atmosphere at every live show, La Unica will catch you by surprise as you’re invited to dance, laugh, and join the fun.

Ted Garber plays acoustic guitar while singing into the microphone

Ted Garber

Self-styled “Blues Americana Rocker” Ted Garber emerged on Washington, DC’s original music scene in 2005 with the local release of two debut albums: the solo Ted Garber EP and Achilles’ Heel. Ted began performing in New Orleans while attending Tulane University and has performed at DC’s 9:30 Club, Blues Alley, Strathmore, and Nashville’s Bluebird Café. Ted has also performed at Montgomery Parks’ Sligo Creek Fest, Sunday Serenade, and previous Acoustics and Ales events.

October 16

Jennifer Schimpf Trio performs at Prose in the Park.

Jennifer Schimpf Trio

Local Annapolis singer-songwriter, Jennifer Schimpf is an energetic force to be reckoned with. The release of her EP “Static in the Attic” in the early winter of 2022 was accompanied by a sold out release show. She has since been performing regularly around the Annapolis area and continues to write and promote new music. Empathetic, charming and honest, she strives to share her inner world with those around her.
