This Fall, children will get to enjoy a whole new set of historical themes, so be on the lookout for when they’re announced!
Step into the world of Scotland’s history, legends, and traditions in this hands-on homeschool history program! From ancient clans and Highland warriors to the Scottish immigrants who crossed the Atlantic, students will discover how Scottish people, culture, and traditions contributed to the development of American culture. They’ll also explore the story of the Magruders who owned the Farm Park and their connection to the area. Students will learn about Scottish clans, symbols, coats of arms, and tartans before putting their knowledge into practice by creating their own designs. Through stories, historical exploration, and creative activities, students will discover how the past connects to family, heritage, identity, and the world around them.
This is a drop off program, but parents are welcome to hang around the Farm Park during the class. Please be sure to dress for the weather and bring water.
